Why can the Importance of Technology be Doubted?
Is There Any Doubt About the Importance of Technology?
Every once in a while, something is created that completely revolutionizes the way that people live. Often it is decried as a god send when it is first created, something that many people are thankful for, and use for good purposes to improve the quality of their everyday lives. However, over time, these things are often come to be seen with contempt by some people, and many times even become extremely controversial. Technology can be a controversial subject, but it shouldn’t be, as the importance of technology is irrefutable.
The Importance of Technology: Guns
Let’s take a look at a few things that are controversial. The first item is guns. Yes, one of the most controversial subjects of our era. People often claim that guns are evil and bad and that is the end of the story. However, guns don’t have to be bad, and in fact, are not bad. What is bad is the way that people often use guns. The guns themselves are just tools, to be used in the ways that we, as humans, see fit. People claim that guns kill people. That is true. People often use guns to hurt others, and it is, without doubt, horrible. However, guns also kill those wild animals that are trying to attack people sometimes. Can you imagine the implications of a bear attacking someone you love, but you have no gun to be able to defend yourselves? In this instance, a gun could be a very valid item to have brought with you on your camping trip! People have the right to defend themselves, and they have the right to a happy and healthy life. When people take these away with guns, it is bad. When people give these qualities to someone, it is good. Therefore, it is not the gun itself that is good or bad, but the way in which we use them.
The Importance of Technology: X-Rays
As well, some people argue that x-rays are dangerous and should be put out of commission. That is true, to some degree. If you regularly exposed yourself to x-rays daily over a long period of time, you would probably end up with cancer or some other horrible disease. However, how often do you have an x-ray done on yourself? I haven’t needed x-rays for many years. In fact, I think that most people don’t have more than 5 x-rays done on them in their entire life times. These x-rays help doctors and surgeons to know exactly what is wrong with people, an exactly how to help them fix the problems. Is this evil? Is this bad? This is certainly not. You simply must be careful how you use the x-ray machines, and be careful not to abuse them, and you will see the importance of technology.
Ultimately, there are a lot of reasons to doubt that technology is important. However, if we would only look past how technology is used, and look instead at how technology should and could be used, we would see that technology is not evil in the least, but that it is people that take up that mantle.

Great post. Highly riveting and professionally penned post. Thank you once more – I will visit again.
You have some great points here, there are really more examples of things like this. E.g. nuclear power: nuclear power plants can be dangerous if things go wrong but ultimately they provide clean energy that doesn’t add to global warming and also provide households with power.
The importance of technology is not even worth trying to argue with anyone. Its such a huge part of our life. I dunno where we as a world would be 30 years ago if it wasn’t for how fast technology improves. Its good & bad though. You can never have the best technology stuff as a result. Someone will always have something better than you.
I do not even know how I ended up here, but I assumed this put up was great. I don’t understand who you might be but definitely you’re going to a well-known blogger should you are not already
Cheers!
Indeed, technology can be useful or dangerous depending on how we use it. Technically, guns don’t kill people. Other people do. X-rays actually do more good than harm. It aids in identifying and treating illnesses. Everything has good and bad effects to people. We just have to put things in the right perspective.
